I've had a terrible experience with this office. I'm regretful that I ever came and referred my spouse. I came for a Naturopathic cardiologist which I found. In trying to nail down a cause for fainting I was ordered a heart monitor. I was billed for 7 days when they only looked at maybe 36 hours. I was billed incorrectly for my follow-up appointment they claim went longer when I had pictures confirming when appointment ended. It is super difficult to get a hold of the office for billing questions. Even questions in writing go unacknowledged and had to chase down responses. My wife's billing has also been mishandled. She was charged for a blood test that she declined and has not corrected with their vendor. It's a shame the person that does the actual blood work is great. My wife's doctor was helpful but the office management is very difficult to work with to get correct billing from. Running to find another doctor's office
My son had to get his vaccination shots updated, and the staff and services are excellent!
The center provides excellent care. They are lovely humans. They also are great with queer, nurodivergant, compound trauma, and chronic pain. This place is great and has been the first time I have experienced medical folks who are excellent in what they do.
UPDATE---as of 8/28 (now 4 stars--not 5 as originally posted). I am no longer seeing Dr. Eliza. While I DO think she's a great doctor in MANY ways, there were enough small reasons that amounted to a necessary change in provider (and location overall). As time moved on, she got busier (which is really great for her!) but also caused a bit of fallout; forgetting details, running consistently late for appointments, more rigidity with processes and ultimately what felt like less of a genuine attentiveness. A gray area started to form about when/where to bring up certain things; acupuncture? primary care appointment? messaging? That gray area paired with (what felt like) inconsistent expectations from her made it uncomfortable and a little nerve-racking to mention certain things for fear of doing it at an inconvenient/inappropriate time. There were a couple of notable times feeling brushed off or disregarded and got an energy that seemed flippant and/or judgmental. I chalked it up to less bandwidth or a bad mood since she usually had never shown up that way. Ultimately, she became very booked and I dropped the ball on scheduling far enough in advance. At that point, we had different ways of wanting to approach a logistical hangup about getting blood work done. She mentioned wanting me to respect her policies more in the future (I certainly didn't try to disrespect her in the first place) but at that point it became clear I needed to find a better fit. She seems to think it was a miscommunication, but I see it as a disagreement. I definitely don't want to be seen as disrespectful to advocate for my needs, logistical or otherwise. I respect her preference, so on top of everything else it just made sense to go elsewhere.
Don't be scared off though, you won't regret getting care with her. She is a great doctor and holds space for concerns, is truly empathetic and generally non-judgmental, which is hard to find in a doctor!
Also, the front desk team generally made things worse. Caitlin is amazing-- the rest aren't. They consistently got my husband and I confused, said rude things and were generally unhelpful.
--previous review--
I’ve recently transitioned from traditional docs to Naturopathic care. I was nervous about that switch because of the unknowns. I knew I wanted a doctor that would listen but that they also be able to treat a wide array of concerns—Both acute and systemic and perhaps at the same time! Maybe concerns that seemed to need a natural approach and some that maybe needed the urgency of traditional meds. I was also tired of the 10-15 minute appointment times that felt like Conveyor belt medicine and instead wanted something more tailored, caring, and intentional. “Lifestyle medicine” as I think about it in my head. I’m very happy to say I found all of that and more (so far) with Dr. Eliza Hofkosh-Hulbert. I know she’s newer to this facility so I may be the first to review her on here. After trying out other naturopaths—She’s been my only primary doctor for 3 short months, but I’ve been through several health challenges in that brief amount of time and she’s been there the whole way. I feel truly taken care of by a doctor for the first time ever and she does a great job holding space for me to share what I’m going through. It’s refreshing to have a doctor that doesn’t have an ego requiring them to be the answer for everything. Rather, I see her stewarding my health and as an advocate for what’s best. As naturopaths go, I think there is a huge spectrum from doctors that heavily focus on traditional western medicine or oppositely focus on alternative/Natural/Chinese/herbal styles. For me, I was nervous to be stuck with someone that only does one modality—with Dr. Eliza, that’s not the case. She is fully capable of working in either modality depending on what is needed. My impression is, that as a naturopath, her preference is likely to treat from a holistic/Natrual perspective as much as possible—but can adapt as the situation may demand. My care always feels collaborative and free from Judgement.
Everyone at the Center for Natural Medicine, is fantastic, far above and beyond, from front office staff to providers. A breath of fresh air in the medical field for sure.
I switched to this clinic a few years ago from Providence and Legacy Good Sam. I am so glad I did! I really love my Physician and the staff who work here. Dr. Redding is very knowledgeable, conscientious, and professional. She really takes the time to sit with me and work out a plan for my health. It is a very comfortable environment and I never feel rushed or judged. Thank you!!
Dr. Janna Redding & the staff at Center For National Medicine Saved my life !! I was depressed, and I had severe anxiety. I was suicidal, I went to a Doctor @ kaiser, Who prescribed me Xanax and other depression medication. I did not feel I needed it. I got a second opinion that’s when I found Dr. Janna Redding ,she ran my labs and found I was severely deficient in vitamin D….Oregon, Washington, & Alaska, have the highest rate of suicide and depression. Get your Blood checked !!! Thank you Dr. Redding & the staff @ Center for Natural Medicine ♥️
My Primary Care Physician Dr Redding has been my Dr for 7 yrs and has never failed to make me feel seen and heard. She is thoughtful, thorough and very perceptive. She is straightforward but has a very kind beside manner that sets me at ease while still maintaining her professional demeanor. The Medical assistants are ALL professional and thoughtful. I've never had a bad blood draw or weird experience. The front desk staff is always graceful, professional and gives 100%.
All the thumbs up.
